Workpiece clamping
The aim of any clamping device is to secure the workpiece precisely and firmly in place without deforming it excessively. To ensure this is achieved in every case, Gremotool clamping systems can be fitted with various types of jaws across all series and sizes.
Prismatic jaws
Prismatic jaws are used to ensure that round workpieces can be clamped precisely in the centre of a 2-jaw clamp. Their V-shaped cut-out ensures that the workpiece automatically positions itself exactly in the centre. With Gremotool jaws, this works reliably in both the horizontal and vertical planes.
Dual-sided use
Some Gremotool jaws can be used on both sides. The step in the jaw allows the clamping range to be utilised to the full. Furthermore, the step enables the grip jaws to clamp onto machined surfaces without damaging the workpiece.
Supplied in pairs
All Gremotool jaws are supplied in pairs. This is to enable the clamping system to be put into use as quickly as possible. All Gremotool clamping systems are supplied with standard jaws as standard. However, to extend the range of applications and make the most of the clamping system’s flexibility, additional jaws can be requested.
Positioning in the jaws
To ensure that workpieces can be correctly positioned throughout the production run, threaded holes are provided on the sides of the jaws. Workpiece stops can be attached to these threads or magnetically to the jaws. This simplifies zero-point setting and reduces set-up times.
