SC-60
The SmartClamp series enables your production process to machine workpieces on five sides without the need for re-clamping. This eliminates the need for additional clamping, which significantly reduces set-up times and improves the accuracy of the components. The SC series is ideal for clamping in 5-axis machining centres; the benefits are clear.
Clamping force
The high clamping forces of the SC series can be adjusted by varying the torque applied to the spindle. This allows you to clamp plastic workpieces without deformation and forged parts without damaging the clamp, whilst ensuring a secure hold.
Centring accuracy
The special spindle and the design of the SC series ensure that the workpiece is precisely centred to within +/- 0.01 mm in the centre of the chuck. This means the workpiece is always positioned in the same place, which prevents any shift in the zero point.
Accessibility
The height of the clamping device allows the workpiece to be machined from five sides in a single clamping operation without the spindle colliding with the machine table. Furthermore, the rotationally symmetrical design of the clamping device ensures that its orientation is irrelevant to the machining process.
Compact
The compact clamping device fits into any machine or onto any base plate. Thanks to their low weight, the clamping devices can be easily replaced by hand.
Low-maintenance
Thanks to its design, chips do not get trapped anywhere in the clamp. This means the clamp requires minimal maintenance.
Short set-up times
The SC series can be fitted with various mounting options. Gremotool’s standard base is suitable for slotted tables and pallet systems. Solutions for perforated plates and clamping device handling are also available.
Versatility
The SC series can be used as a fixed-jaw chuck or as a centre chuck. This requires only a minor modification to the chuck.
Thanks to the centre chuck principle, several chucks can be arranged side by side to securely clamp long workpieces.
With a centre jaw, the SC series can be converted into a two-workpiece clamp.
