The Gripp clamping jaws are particularly suitable for the initial clamping of sawn, drawn, forged or rectangular workpieces. Their teeth bite into the material and create a downward pull, ensuring that the workpiece rests securely and stably on the jaw. As the teeth are very low-profile, only a small amount of allowance is required on the raw material, which significantly reduces material consumption. The High-Profile Gripping Jaw has been designed to allow optimum access to the workpiece.

Workpiece clamping

The aim of any clamping device is to secure the workpiece precisely and firmly in place without deforming it excessively. To ensure this is achieved in every situation, Gremotool clamping systems can be fitted with various types of jaws across all series and sizes.

Gripper jaws

Gripper jaws are particularly suited for the initial clamping of sawn, drawn, forged or rectangular workpieces. Their teeth bite into the material and create a downward pull, ensuring the workpiece rests cleanly and securely on the jaw. As the teeth are very low-profile, only a minimal allowance is required on the raw material, which significantly reduces material consumption.

Hard materials without pre-indentation

Forged or hard materials must be clamped using even harder materials so that these can bite into the workpiece. The grip teeth allow this without the need for a special device on which the material must be pre-indented.

Soft materials

The gripper teeth bite securely and firmly into soft materials. They only lose their grip on the material when the clamping device is opened.

Supplied in pairs

All Gremotool jaws are supplied in pairs. This is to enable the clamping system to be put into use as quickly as possible. All Gremotool clamping systems are supplied with standard jaws as standard. However, to extend the range of applications and make the most of the clamping system’s flexibility, additional jaws can be ordered.

Positioning in the jaws

To ensure that workpieces can be correctly positioned throughout the production run, threaded holes are provided on the sides of the jaws. Workpiece stops can be attached to these threads or magnetically to the jaws. This simplifies zero-point setting and reduces set-up times.
