R. Wick

Gremotool with Wick

WiCell

Gremotool offers high-quality clamping devices and perfectly tailored handling solutions. When combined with the workpiece handling system from R. Wick AG, this creates a seamless, automated manufacturing process.

The system retrieves raw material from drawers, automatically loads it into our clamping devices, rotates the workpiece after the initial machining operation, and returns the finished part to its place. Workpiece clamping takes place entirely within the machine tool.

Minimal set-up times, long periods of low-labour production thanks to multiple drawers, and optimal machine utilisation ensure maximum productivity.

Cost savings

In the long term, investing in a handling system reduces operating costs. Less waste, longer production times and optimised staff deployment lead to savings and increase competitiveness.

Machine utilisation

Production machines operate more efficiently when workpieces are fed in and removed automatically. This avoids unnecessary waiting times and ensures that machines can be run for longer each day.

Efficiency

Handling systems minimise the time required for manual intervention. Workpieces are moved by the robot, which speeds up the entire production process.

WiTower

The flexible handling system from R. Wick AG is capable of handling workpieces as well as pallets and vices, and can be perfectly combined with Gremotool’s clamping devices.

Instead of conventional drawers, the system uses an intelligent lifting system with shelves. These shelves can accommodate both individual workpieces and complete, pre-prepared clamping units. This provides two automation options:
– Workpiece handling for fully automated material flow
– Pallet/vise handling for rapid set-up changes with complete clamping assemblies

The result: maximum flexibility, long periods of operation with minimal staff and optimal utilisation of the machine tool.
