PAT Module

The ParallelViceAdapterForToolboy module for the Toolboy base module is a vice for general-purpose use. The lightweight PAT module can be attached to the base module with one hand. By swivelling the PAT module, it is possible to access even hard-to-reach areas on the clamped workpiece. The PAT can also be used for machining operations, as the spindle is covered by the guide piece. The jaw inserts are made of steel and can be supplemented with standard protective jaws featuring magnets or clamping springs.

Changing the Adapter

The adapters can be changed as required. To do this, the shaft is turned in the centre using an Allen key and the adapter is unscrewed. The correct adapter is then refitted to the Toolboy. Changing the adapters is quick, and the Toolboy can be used for various machining tool holders.

Swivelling

Access to some screws on the tools is not visible from above or is restricted. The Toolboy can therefore be swivelled to allow for ergonomic fitting of the machining tool. This also means that modifications to the machining tool holder from below can be carried out from above. Inserting a coolant tube into a fitted HSK machining tool is possible without risk or difficulty using the Toolboy and its swivel function.

Clamping

The tool holders are secured by clamping the adaptors. This prevents them from moving unintentionally whilst swivelling, fitting and tightening screws. As a result, the machining tool holders do not fall to the floor accidentally, and the cutting edges are not damaged.

PAT Prism Jaw

The prism jaws feature a 120° prism on both sides. This allows round workpieces to be clamped securely. The circular recess in the centre also allows tool holders to be accommodated within it.

The prism jaws can be attached directly to the PAT’s ribbed jaws via the integrated magnets. It is also possible to secure them additionally from above using a screw. The screws are included with the jaw set.
