MTC series

Mill-Turn-Chuck

The MillTurnClamp series is designed for distortion-free clamping in milling and turning applications. The central drive of the MTC series moves the mounted clamping modules towards the centre. If these are in contact with the workpiece on one side, the workpiece can be clamped via them. This guarantees precise centring and distortion-free clamping, even for thin-walled workpieces.

Distortion-free clamping

Clamping thin-walled, round workpieces without causing distortion is a challenge – the MTC masters it reliably. The central drive first aligns the workpiece precisely in the centre. The four RC clamping elements on the clamping arms then take over the complete securing of the workpiece. This ensures the workpiece remains stable, retains its shape and is positioned perfectly in the centre.


Mechanical milling and turning chuck with compensation

The MTC is specially designed for the milling and turning of workpieces. The centrifugal forces generated during rotation are automatically compensated for by the system, ensuring that only the defined clamping forces act on the workpiece. Even with uneven material distribution, the MTC reliably compensates for these differences and ensures stable, distortion-free clamping at the centre of the rotational axis.


Prepared for Gremotool Connected Systems

The MTC is fully prepared for the integration of Gremotool Connected Systems. A Blum-Novotest transmitter unit can be installed at the centre of the system, which is capable of measuring both the clamping force in each individual arm and the exact position of the clamping arms – or a combination of both parameters. This precise measurement data enables flawless, distortion-free and perfectly centred clamping of the workpiece. At the same time, excessive process forces can be detected at an early stage during machining, which significantly increases the safety and stability of the entire manufacturing process.
