Workpiece clamping
The aim of any clamping device is to secure the workpiece precisely and firmly in place without deforming it excessively. To ensure this is achieved in every case, Gremotool clamping systems can be fitted with various types of jaws across all series and sizes.
Stepped jaws
Stepped jaws are used when the clamping surfaces must remain free of indentations. Thanks to their flat shape, they protect the workpiece whilst still ensuring stable and precise clamping on the clamping device.
Double-sided use
Some Gremotool jaws can be used on both sides. The step in the jaw allows the clamping range to be utilised to the full. Furthermore, the step also enables clamping on machined surfaces using the gripping jaws without damaging the workpiece.
Supplied in pairs
All Gremotool jaws are supplied in pairs. This is to enable the clamping system to be put into use as quickly as possible. All Gremotool clamping systems are supplied with standard jaws as standard. However, to expand the range of applications and make the most of the clamping system’s flexibility, additional jaws can be requested.
Positioning in the jaws
To ensure that workpieces can be correctly positioned across the entire production run, threaded holes are provided on the sides of the jaws. Workpiece stops can be attached to these threads or magnetically to the jaws. This simplifies zero-point setting and reduces set-up times.
